            SELF DEFENSE TECHNIQUES FOR WOMEN

Self-defense has been one of the vital things that every woman must know about. Different harassing activities can happen wherever you are. So it’s a must to be well aware of such things that if incase happens a woman is not weak and fight against it. When one starts to feel that something is not good or someone is like trying to touch you and stares with a very annoying look you should start defending yourself. Getting weak, running or crying would be worst in this case. One has to act strong and start the act of self-defense. Some of the useful self-defense techniques are:

PREVENTION IS THE BEST SELF DEFENSE-
First remember that prevention is the best self-defense. Attackers’ whatever their objectives are looking for unsuspecting, vulnerable targets. So be sure to follow general safety tips like being aware of surrounding, only walking and parking in well-lit areas, keeping your keys in hand as you approach your door or car, varying your route and times of travel, and other personal security precaution.

GET LOUD AND PUSH BACK-
If the attacker touches you and it’s hard to escape just shout loudly “BACK OFF!” and push the attacker back. This does two things: seeks for help and attacker come to know that you’re not an easy target. It may not dissuade all attackers but at least getting loud will warn off those that were looking for easy prey.

HIT THE MOST EFFECTIVE BODY PART-
When you’re in confrontation, you only have few seconds and few moves to try before the fight is decided. Before an attacker has gained full control on you-you must do everything you can, conserving as much energy as possible- to inflict injury so you can get away. So aim for the parts of body where you can do the most damage easily: eyes, nose, ears, neck, groin, knee and legs. This is to be determined by the attackers position. You need to attack the one place you easily can get into.

CARRY A SHARP OBJECT OR PINS EVERYTIME-
Carrying objects like a nail cutter, small knife, blade, scissor or even hair pins can help a lot while in danger. These objects can be used while the attacker is attacking you so that you can run from it safely.
   
  Well, the act of defending should be known by everyone. Even one single move can save women from being harassed. One just has to be well aware of the situation, defend yourself or call for some help and you can turn tables.
